IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — Detectives Thursday announced the arrest of three suspects who were allegedly operating brothels out of rented apartments throughout Irvine and Los Angeles, concluding a year-long investigation.

According to the Irvine Police Department, Los Angeles residents Jin Woo Park, 41, and Heung Soon Kim, 56, were arrested along with 36-year-old Miyoun Kim of Newport Beach for pimping, pandering and human trafficking charges.

Officials said that search warrants were served at several locations throughout Koreatown, Los Angeles, Irvine and Newport Beach.

A preliminary investigation opened in June 2013, when detectives followed a tip about prostitution activity in an apartment located in the 2000 block of Alton Parkway, authorities said.

According to police, multiple suspects and apartments were identified for participation in prostitution activity over the course of the investigation.

Bail has not yet been determined for the three suspects who will be booked in Orange County Jail, officials said.
