24-year-old Anaheim man arrested for deadly hit-and-run

Anaheim police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash that happened last weekend. 

They say that the collision happened on Sunday, Sept. 15 at around 4:40 a.m. near Katella avenue and Euclid Street, according to the Anaheim Police Department. 

Officers arrived to the scene and found a woman, since identified as 47-year-old Sabrina Ruiz Adame, suffering from a severe traumatic injury. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounce dead. 

"Witnesses stated that a dark-colored SUV traveled westbound on Katella Ave and struck a female pedestrian in the traffic lanes," APD's statement said. "After the collision, the SUV driver left the scene."

Investigators identified Edgar Arce as the driver of the SUV through their investigation and arrested him on Sept. 18.He was booked for felony-hit-and-run. They also seized the vehicle they believe was used during the incident as evidence.
