Stretch Of 210 Freeway Closed For Paving Repairs Reopens Ahead Of Schedule

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) —The westbound 210 Freeway reopened Monday ahead of the expected 55-hour closure.

Caltrans announced the freeway reopened at 3:45 a.m., more than one hour ahead of schedule.

Westbound lanes were closed at 10 p.m. Friday between Lake Avenue and Mountain Street.

The eastbound ramp from the 134 Freeway to the westbound Foothill Freeway also was closed, along with the westbound Foothill Freeway off-ramps at Marengo Avenue and Mountain Street, and the Walnut Street on-ramp.

The closures will be repeated the weekend of July 29-Aug. 1.

The closures, dubbed the "Rose Jam," are part of a $148.5 million pavement rehabilitation project in both directions of the 210 Freeway in Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge and Pasadena.
