2014 San Diego Chargers Schedule Released; Get 3rd Straight MNF Season Opener


SAN DIEGO (CBSLA) - For the third straight year, the San Diego Chargers will open their season on Monday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Field as the 2014 NFL scheduled was released Wednesday.

The week after the opener, the 9-7 Chargers will host Super Bowl champs Seattle Seahawks, Sunday Sept. 14 at 1:00 PM on FOX.

The last time the Bolts faced Seattle in a regular season game was in 2010 where they lost 27-20.

The Seahawks and Cardinals are the two of the four teams that San Diego will play in the NFC West.

They will play at San Francisco on Saturday, Dec. 14 and at St. Louis on Nov. 23.

Five of the first six games, the Chargers will face teams who had a sub .500 record – Arizona, Buffalo, Jacksonville, NY Jets and Oakland.

They will face division rivals and AFC Champs Denver Broncos in a nationally televised Thursday night game on CBS 2 on Oct 23 and on Sunday Dec. 28.
