2 Men Accused In Killing of San Bernardino Store Owner Enter Pleas

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Two men accused of killing a convenience store owner in San Bernardino pleaded not guilty Tuesday.

Desmond Stevenson, 25, and Robert Green, 23, were arraigned on charges including robbery and murder.

Their bail was set at $2 million each.

Prosecutors said the defendants killed Mitesh Patel, 31, the owner of Bossey Drive-in Dairy in San Bernardino on Friday night during a robbery.

The third suspect, Jason Allen, was arrested Monday afternoon. Police said he drove the getaway vehicle after the murder.

A preliminary hearing for Stevenson and Green is scheduled for Feb. 16.
