2 Southwest Airliners Bump At Gate In Burbank
BURBANK (AP) — Two Southwest Airlines planes bumped each other at their gates at a Southern California airport, but no one was injured.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says one plane was backing up from the gate at Burbank Bob Hope Airport on Sunday when it made contact with a plane parked at the neighboring gate.
Southwest spokeswoman Emily Samuels says the first plane was bound for Oakland, the second for Denver, but both have been pulled from service to be inspected for damages.
Samuels says Southwest is finding alternate arrangements for the 225 passengers from the planes.
