3 wounded in shooting at Garden Grove hot pot restaurant

Three people were wounded when a shooting broke out at a hot pot restaurant in Garden Grove on Saturday. 

According to Garden Grove Police Department, the shooting occurred just after 11:30 p.m. at The Hot Restaurant, located in the 12000 block of Magnolia Street. 

Officers were dispatched to the area after learning of the incident. 

"As officers entered the restaurant, they located the suspect being detained by patrons," said a statement from Garden Grove police.

They found two people suffering from gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. Both were rushed to nearby hospitals where they are reported to be in critical condition. 

A third victim, who suffered minor injuries to the lower body, was said to be in stable condition. 

The victims were all said to be Vietnamese men, two in their 40s and one in his 30s. 

The suspect, whose identity remains unknown was also said to be a Vietnamese man in his 40s. 

"During the investigation, officers learned that the victims and the suspect were patrons of the restaurant and an altercation occurred between them prior to the shooting," the statement said.
