2 Men Stabbed Along Venice Beach's Oceanfront Walk

VENICE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say two men were recovering Sunday after being stabbed along Venice Beach's oceanfront walk.

Los Angeles police Sgt. Laura Curtin told City News Service that the men were stabbed about 9:40 p.m. Saturday at Pacific and Windward avenues.

The sergeant said both of the victims were in their 20s. They were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Based on information provided by witnesses, Los Angeles police Sgt. John Marquez says it's believed that there were at least two suspects.

Marquez said the victims were uncooperative and very reluctant to give police any information.

He also said the incident, which remains under investigation, may be gang-related.

Anyone with information about these stabbings was asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Division at (310) 482-6334 or the 24-hour tipline at (877) LAPD-24-7. All tips can be made anonymously.
