2 Men Detained Following Shooting Death In San Dimas

SAN DIMAS (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities said two men were detained by sheriff's deputies following the shooting death of a man in San Dimas.

No arrests were made.

A motive for the murder has not been established, officials said.

Paramedics were sent to the 21200 block of Arrow Highway about 11:25 a.m. Friday following a report of a shooting and found the man dead, said county fire Inspector Scott Miller.

The victim was identified as 42-year-old Oscar Acosta Jr. of Irwindale, according to Coroner's Lt. Joe Bale.

Sheriff's homicide detectives asked anyone with any information regarding the shooting death to call them at (323) 890-5500.
