2 Critically Injured When Wrong-Way Driver Gets On 405 Freeway In Westchester
WESTCHESTER (CBSLA.com) — A wrong-way driver is blamed for a violent crash Sunday morning on the 405 Freeway in Westchester.
Motorists of the southbound side of the freeway began calling California Highway Patrol around 2:45 a.m. saying a driver was headed northbound.
Within five minutes, the driver collided with a southbound vehicle, near Howard Hughes Parkway, CHP reported.
Five people were transported to a hospital and two of them were listed in critical condition.
The driver was able to walk after the crash while CHP questioned him.
He was later placed under arrest.
