16 Smoking Hot Female Athletes You Should Follow On Instagram

by @TaraLipinsky

Instagram is a terrific resource to discover what your favorite athletes are doing during their off-season. It's an even better tool to get up close and personal with your fave female athlete.

Here are 16 smoking hot women in sports that will make it worth your while.

16. Stephanie Rice

Rice, an Australian three-time gold-medalist swimmer, just announced her retirement in April. Despite stepping away from competition she clearly enjoys eating healthy, staying in shape and sharing the fruit of her labors.

15.Victoria Azarenka

This Belarusian beauty is formerly the number one ranked women’s tennis player in the world.  She’s currently ranked number ten and we think that’s a perfect number for this six-foot tall stunner.

14. Allyson Felix

Track and Field phenom Allyson Felix won three gold medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics.  The California native is a devout Christian, but don’t worry, her Instagram account definitely shows off her more playful side.

13. Sloane Stephens

Move over Serena Williams, this social media savvy, up and coming tennis pro uses the photo app to show off her perfect form both on and off the court.

12. Paula Creamer

If it’s the All-American, girl-next-door type that makes you drool, popular pro-golfer Paula Creamer‘s account is a must-follow. You’ll get a glimpse of her perfect stroke and plenty of her other awesome assets.

11.  Alex Morgan

American Soccer player and Olympic Gold Medalist Alex Morgan may do her best work on “the pitch” but she also has a side job pitching brands like Nike, ChapStick and Coke.

Aussie golf pro Anna Rawson moved from the putting green to making green as a model.  If you follow her it won't be rough to see why.

Move over Johnny Football: Angela Rypien – daughter of Super Bowl MVP quarterback Mark Rypien – QB’s her own football team in the Lingerie League. She’s a self-proclaimed sneaker addict and the “bey” of Seattle Mariner’s pitcher Taijan Walker.  Good thing she signed with the Seattle Mist for the 2014 season.

8. Lindsey Vonn

The injury-riddled skier turned television personality- is always hot – even on the powdery slopes. She’s won four World Cup Championships and her Instagram account is chock full of other athletes and workout pics. What you won’t see? Too many photos of her beau Tiger Woods, thank you Jesus.

7. Ronda Rousey

The first lady of U.S. Mixed Martial Arts, Rousey is also an Olympic medalist, an actress and a well-known UFC smack talker. Rousey’s Instagram account reflects her tough image, but I warn you; it may incite some serious ab envy.

6. Miesha Tate

Miesha Tate is another UFC fighter who also kills it in the looks department.  I’m guessing if you weren’t familiar with her before, Women’s MMA just acquired a few new fans.

5. Kaylyn Kyle

Kyle may look like a California girl, but she’s actually a Canadian National soccer player. No yellow card for this Instagram account; she uses to display her skills and assets equally.

Olympic Gold Medalist Julia Mancuso is no joke and I’m not just talking about on the giant slalom. This thrill-seeker documents her adventures with stunning photos taken in many exotic locales.

3. Michelle Jenneke

Aussie-born Shelly Jenneke is studying mechanical engineering and Olympic Hurdling.  If neither of those careers work out, I’m guessing she has a shot at bikini modeling.

You already knew Olympic U.S. soccer star Sydney Leroux (who is the aforementioned Alex Morgan’s BFF BTW) has what it takes on the soccer field, but did you know she looked like this off the pitch?
