Firefighters report 100% containment of fire that torched 532 acres of brush near Lake Perris

Firefighters have fully-contained a massive brush fire that torched the land near Lake Perris in Perris. 

The blaze, which was dubbed the Rock Fire, burnt 532 acres of brush and had a "dangerous rate of spread" on Wednesday," according to Riverside County firefighters. 

Crews were first sent to the scene just after 2:30 p.m. upon learning of the fire. 

No injuries have yet been reported and no structures are currently threatened. 

On Thursday, at around 6:45 p.m., firefighters reported that they had 100% contained the blaze.
