14-Year-Old Held In Fatal Stabbing Of His Sister In Claremont

CLAREMONT (CBSLA.com)  —  A 14-year-old has been arrested in Claremont in the fatal stabbing of his sister, officials said.

A 911 call came into authorities just before 5:10 p.m. Wednesday about a girl not breathing at a home in the 300 block of Andover Drive.

Paramedics were called to the location but were unable to revive the victim.

Police said they saw the 14-year-old walking away from the home and arrested him.

Officials said it was the first homicide in Claremont in six years.

The girl's age was not released but said she was a teenager.

CBS2's Brittney Hopper spoke to stunned neighbors.

They told her the family was always outside, playing, and together.

"I'm shocked," said Grace Feischundneff. "And today was one of those gorgeous LA days. Magical light, After all the rain, we had sun and no clouds. Such a beautiful day. I can only imagine what's happening with the family."
