13-Year-Old Girl Killed By Alleged DUI Hit-And-Run Driver In San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com)  —  Police in San Bernardino have arrested a man they said was driving under the influence before slamming his car into another vehicle, killing a young girl.

Crystal Cruz reported from the accident scene, the cross streets of Rialto Avenue and Arrowhead.

Authorities told her that a man driving a dark green vehicle slammed into a silver-colored vehicle, killing that car's female passenger.

Cruz reported that the victim is believed to have been 13. Her 21-year-old sister was driving.

The driver of the dark vehicle fled on foot, authorities said

Detectives later located the man and said he had been drinking.

The man was taken into custody along with his passenger, who also reportedly fled.
