CENTURY CITY (CBSLA) — Fire crews battled a blaze at a two-story office building Sunday evening in the West Los Angeles neighborhood of Century City.

The fire in the 10600 block of West Santa Monica Boulevard was reported at 5:05 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Crews responded to find  at least one unit well-involved in the flames. Firefighters could be seen on the roof of the building as they battled the blaze that was escaping through the building's windows.

It took 30 firefighters a little less than 30 minutes to contain the fire and extinguish all the flames. Crews were able to determine that three units of the building had sustained considerable damage from both fire and smoke.

None of the building's tenants were present when the fire broke out, according to LAFD spokesperson Nicholas Prange.
