10 NBA Players By New Social Media Followers In 2015

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — According to data released by Hookit, LeBron James sits atop the list of NBA players who gained the most followers in 2015.

Reigning MVP and NBA Finals champion Stephen Curry was next on the list, as he added a reported 6,573,11 followers in 2015.

Curry and James rank far ahead of the rest of the top ten, as the two squared off in the 2015 NBA Finals.

Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony came in at third place, as Clippers point guard Chris Paul came in fourth place for new followers this past year.

The Lakers Kobe Bryant came in at ninth on the list, adding a reported 1,256,282 new followers, on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram combined.

Aside from Curry, James, and Anthony, no NBA player received over 2 million new followers in the past year.
