1 Of 3 Men Wanted In Fatal Bus Stabbing Booked For Murder

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing on a bus has been booked on suspicion of murder, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Allen Jay Milton, 43, was detained Tuesday and taken to the sheriff's East Los Angeles station for questioning. Police say he was later arrested and booked for murder and is being held on $1 million bail.

Investigators say Milton is one of three suspects wanted in connection with a fatal attack on Metro bus line 81 at about 10:40 p.m. Monday. The victim, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

All three suspects had gotten off the bus at North Figueroa and Meridian streets and fled.

Milton was arrested within hours of authorities releasing security images of the three suspects. Two other men wanted in the attack remain at large.
