Pedestrian killed in Winnetka hit-and-run
One person was killed in a crash that was later revealed to be a hit-and-run in Winnetka Saturday evening.
The crash was reported at around 9:30 p.m. on N. Winnetka Avenue, where one person could be seen lying in the street after being struck by a vehicle.
The person died at the scene. Their identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Los Angeles Police Department officers arrested one man, 30-year-old Gevorg George Gevorgyan, who had initially fled from the scene before returning.
He was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
