1 killed in 101 Freeway crash near Studio City
A person was killed in a freeway collision near Studio City Thursday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at around 3:51 a.m. to the northbound 101 Freeway and the Vineland Avenue on-ramp where they found the collision, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig said.
It is believed only one car was involved in the crash.
The victim was described as a female adult in her 30s found lying in the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers said after the driver hit the pedestrian, they exited the freeway stopped, and immediately called CHP.
Around 7 a.m. the CHP reopened all freeway lanes.
