1 killed, 2 wounded in shooting in San Pedro
One person has been killed and two others wounded in a shooting outside of a party in San Pedro early Sunday morning.
The shooting unfolded just after midnight near 11th Street and Palos Verdes Street, according to a statement from Los Angeles Police Department. Witnesses told investigators that they heard between four and five shots.
When authorities arrived on scene, they located two gunshot victims.
The first, 39-year-old Compton man Lorenzo Gallardo, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim, described as woman in her mid-40s, was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The third victim, a 50-year-old man, self-transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the shooting was not immediately known. Investigators did not release a description of a possible suspect.
