1 hospitalized after stabbing at Hollywood/Western Metro station

Stabbing on Metro station platform leaves one hospitalized

One person was hospitalized after a stabbing at the Hollywood/Western Metro station in East Hollywood on Thursday. 

According to Los Angeles Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene just before 5 p.m. after receiving a call for an assault with a deadly weapon on the platform at the station for the Metro B Line.

LAPD investigators disclosed that the incident was preceded by a fight between two people, leaving one person hospitalized with unknown injuries. At latest, they were said to be in stable condition.

Thus far, police have not arrested anyone connected to the incident.

Hours later, a person was stabbed multiple times on the Metro B Line train heading towards the Westlake/MacArthur station at around 8:20 p.m. A suspect in this assault was last seen on a train headed towards North Hollywood. 

Earlier this week, a separate stabbing caused another person to be hospitalized at the North Hollywood Metro Station on Hollywood Boulevard.
