CBS News Los Angeles

One person was killed and another injured during a wrong-way crash on the connector road between the 91 and 241 freeways in Anaheim on Sunday.

The crash happened at around 2:30 a.m. on the transition between southbound SR-241 and westbound SR-91, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The force of the crash ejected a woman from her car, officers said.

One person was declared dead at the scene. They have not yet been identified.

Circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear, but they believe it was possibly triggered by a white Honda Civic that was driving in the wrong direction.

Officers issued a SigAlert a little after 2:40 a.m., which closed the transition road in both directions for several hours.
