1 dead after shooting at Gardena restaurant

Authorities are searching for a gunman after a deadly shooting at a Gardena restaurant on Saturday evening. 

It happened at around 8 p.m. at a restaurant in the 18100 block of Vermont Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. 

Investigators say that the victim, a man in his mid-30s, was seated at a restaurant when he was approached by the alleged shooter, who was also at the restaurant. 

After shooting the victim, the suspect, a man in his late 40s, fled from the scene in an unknown vehicle, police said. 

The victim, who remains unidentified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
