2 dead, 1 injured after violent crash in Signal Hill

Police investigating violent crash that left 1 dead, 2 injured in Signal Hill

Two people are dead and one other was injured during a violent two-car collision in Signal Hill on Sunday. 

The crash happened at around 5:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Cherry Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. 

They arrived to find two cars suffering from severe damage and paramedics rushed two victims to the hospital, one of which died after arrival. 

On Tuesday, one of the victims was identified as 88-year-old Sheldon Turchin. The second victim has only been identified as a woman in her 70s, according to police. 

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the violent crash.
