1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Mid-City Shooting

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police Friday were looking for a gunman who fatally shot one man and wounded another.

The shooting happened just after 11 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Van Ness Avenue in Arlington Heights, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The suspect walked up to the two victims and opened fire, killing a 44-year-old man.

A second victim was shot in the arm and leg. He was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.

It was unclear if the shooting was gang-related.
