1 dead, 1 critical after shooting in Canoga Park

One person is dead and another critically wounded after a shooting in Canoga Park late Saturday evening. 

It happened at around 11:45 p.m. in the 8300 block of Northgate Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. 

Officers arrived and found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds, both of whom were rushed to nearby hospitals by paramedics. 

After arrival, one of the victims, only identified as a 19-year-old man, was pronounced dead.

Police say that the second victim was treated and is now in stable condition. 

Detectives have not released information on a motive or suspect involved in the shooting.
