Los Angeles Rams celebrate Super Bowl victory with parade

The Los Angeles Rams held their Super Bowl victory parade on Wednesday, after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday with a 23-20 win. Tens of thousands of people attended the event, which featured Rams players, coaches, floats and specialty vehicles.

The 1.1-mile victory parade began at the Shrine Auditorium and ended at the LA Memorial Coliseum, where a rally was held in the Coliseum's Olympic Plaza. Organizers said there was room for about 20,000 fans, CBS Los Angeles reports.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti presented three keys to the city for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, defensive tackle Aaron Donald and wide receiver Cooper Kupp.

"They can unlock any door in LA any day, and it gives me great joy as mayor of the city of LA to declare Los Angeles Rams Day in LA," Garcetti said to a sea of fans.

The Super Bowl victors thanked their teammates and fans at the celebration with some players holding up their new trophy.

Entry to the rally was free and open to the public. However, all fans were required to show either proof of vaccination against COVID-19, a negative antigen test taken within 24 hours, or a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours. No masks were required after officials lifted the outdoor mask mandate.
