Ypsilanti Police Investigating After 17-Year-Old Found Shot
YPSILANTI (WWJ) -- Ypsilanti Police are investigating a murder after a 17-year-old was shot and killed.
The incident happened early Saturday morning on Madison Street near I-94 and South Huron Street. Investigators said that they responded to a call of gunshots fired. Upon arrival, officers found the victim -- Keon Jamall Washington --lying in the street with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Washington was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
A vehicle leaving the scene was stopped by police while some of the occupants were brought in for questioning.
Police are continuing the investigation.
