Michigan fans most likely won't be bidding on this item but I'm pretty sure it will spark some interest with Spartan fans.

Michigan State is auctioning off a game ball from the Michigan State and Michigan thriller that took place two weeks ago in Ann Arbor.

On MSU's auction site you can put in your bid for the ball.

Bid now on this official Nike Vapor One Michigan State Football used during the Spartans' 27-23 victory over Michigan on October 17. The ball is signed by head coach Mark Dantonio. The ball has the referee's marking from that game (and the first six games of the season) to verify its use and authenticity.

As of the time this blog was posted there have been 88 bids on the football and right now the high bid is $1,750.

I love to collect memorabilia and I think this is the perfect fit for any collector of Michigan State. Personally, I can't afford it, but if I could I would be bidding up a storm.

What is one piece of memorabilia you wish you could have?
