BOSTON (97.1 The Ticket) -- One can only image that Red Sox fans felt like they were walking into bizarro world when they spotted once-hated rival Derek Jeter's t-shirts hanging shamelessly in the team store at Fenway Park during this weekend's sendoff series.
Remember when the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry was the greatest in the land (with the exception maybe of Duke-North Carolina) and the teams would get into fights on national television? Well, all of that has seemingly gone out the window.
I do not believe Derek Jeter merchandise was available at Fenway souvenir shops during 2004 ALCS . . . pic.twitter.com/jkRczCnZP5

Honoring a legend like Jeter with an on-filed ceremony is one thing; selling his likeness in the team store is another.
