Flint police say officers responded to a home on the city's south side on Friday after the 26-year-old woman reported the break-in.

The woman, who had recently moved into the home, told police that electronics, jewelry and shoes were taken -- along with a cage containing her pet chinchilla.

Police didn't immediately release any suspect information.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact police at 810-237-6801 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
