Woman Killed, Man Injured After Gun Discharge
DETROIT (WWJ) - A woman is killed in a gun accident on Detroit's west side.
The incident unfolded, Thursday afternoon, in a home on Muirland, near McNichols and Livernois. Detroit Police say a 24-year-old man somehow shot himself in the hand. The bullet went through the hand, and then fatally struck a 20-year-old female.
The man was listed in temporary-serious condition at an area hospital and is now under police custody. Investigators say, at this point, they believe the tragedy was an accident.
