Woman Killed, 3 Kids Hurt When Van Hits Amish Buggy

BEAVERTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a van collided with an Amish buggy in mid-Michigan, killing a woman and injuring three children.

The Gladwin County sheriff's department says 31-year-old Sarah Stutzman was pronounced dead at the scene of Monday evening's crash in Beaverton Township, about 125 miles northwest of Detroit. The children were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The department says Stutzman was from Clare County.

Two people were in the van. They weren't injured. The sheriff's department says the cause of the crash is under investigation.
