Woman In Critical Condition After Being Shot During Domestic Dispute; Police Looking For Suspect

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are investigating a shooting Friday evening on the city's west side.

A police spokesperson says it happened around 8:40 p.m. on Rosemont Avenue, near Southfield Road and Plymouth. It appears to have been a domestic situation between a 25-year-old woman and the 30-year-old father of her child.

Police say as the woman was pulling into the driveway of a home when the suspect opened fire, shooting the victim multiple times. She is hospitalized in critical condition.

The man has been identified as Chighland Tucker. He is believed to have fled the scene in a silver Grand Prix and is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the shooting, or the suspect, is asked to call Detroit police.
