Westland Man, 59, Arrested In Online Sexual Predator Police Sting
CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) -- Macomb County investigators arrested a Westland man in an online sexual predator sting on Monday.
Kenneth Rodgers, 59, was arraigned on three counts of child sexually abusive activity on Monday, after police caught him looking to meet a minor for sex.
Over a six-day period, the Rodgers allegedly sent e-mails and text messages to an officer posing as a young girl online. On Saturday morning, the man drove to a predetermined location expecting to have sex with the young girl. Upon the his arrival, he was arrested.
Rogers was given a $10,000 cash-or-surety bond and is due back in court on December 28.
