West Michigan Newspaper Headlines: 'Lions Roped By Dallas Cowboys' [PHOTO]

Maybe it was a premonition ... or even a harbinger of doom that the Jackson Citizen Patriot had Monday morning when their newspaper hit the news stand.
The headline read, "Lions roped by Dallas Cowboys."
Today in newspaper budget cuts: the @Lions got "roped" by the @Giants yesterday, not the @dallascowboys.#CopyEditorsStillMatter pic.twitter.com/1kfLtrzeFX

Whoops, they might not have got the memo that the Lions lost to the Giants 17-6. Maybe their headline could have been "Squashed by the Giants," or even "Big Apple takes bite out of the Lions." Who knows what it could have been but it should have been in reference to the New York Giants.
It wasn't just Jackson's paper that made the mistake, all the papers on the west side of the state had the same headlines unfortunately.
#CopyEditorsStillMatter: @GRPress, @MuskegonChron, @JacksonCitPat & @Kzoo_Gazette all had same erroneous headline of Lions losing to Dallas. pic.twitter.com/jJtFlNoehu

In the old days, this kind of nightmare front page headline error would cause publishers to order papers pulled out of newspaper boxes... pic.twitter.com/C5oQinteUq

This is a tough mistake to swallow but if you are like me and a optimistic thinker then they can use these papers next week if the Lions do in fact get "Roped by Dallas."
