Waterford Pastor Dies After Shoveling Snow
WATERFORD (WWJ) - One of the casualties from this recent bout of snow and cold is a local pastor.
Pastor Marc Dalton from Lakecrest Baptist in Waterford died at age 58.
"Our church family is deeply saddened with the home-going of our pastor, Pastor Marc Dalton, as he went to be with the Lord Sunday night the 5th of January following the evening service," says a message posted on the church's website.
According to reports, Dalton preached at Lakecrest Sunday morning, went to shovel snow afterward at his home in Goodrich, then suffered a heart attack.
He died on his way to Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc.
Pastor Dalton served churches for 35 years and was pastor at Lakecrest since 2004. He is survived by a wife, three children and seven grandchildren.
Details on memorial services for Pastor Dalton were still pending Tuesday evening.
Church members and friends took to social media to grieve and express their condolences.
