Waterford Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash Up North; Alcohol A Possible Factor
GREENWOOD TWP. (WWJ) - A 32-year-old Waterford man was killed over the 4th of July holiday weekend in northern Michigan when his motorcycle crashed, and police say alcohol is believed to be a factor.
The crash happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday, July 2 in Oscoda County's Greenwood Township, about a half-hour east of Grayling.
Police say Joseph Norris was driving a 2016 KTM motorcycle northbound on Red Oak Road near West Miller Road when he lost control of his bike and was thrown to the ground.
Officers arrived on the scene and tried to revive Norris before paramedics arrived, but there was nothing they could do. Norris was declared dead at the scene.
Police say alcohol is possibly a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
