Watch The Valravn Roller Coaster Construction In A One-Minute Time-Lapse Video
Get a bird's eye view of Cedar Point's latest attraction coming to life in a one-minute time-lapse video posted to the park's YouTube channel Tuesday.
The video illustrates the 6-month process of preparing the site and erecting the towering track and support structures.
The ride is named after a supernatural bird from Danish folklore called valravn.
The ride opened to the public May 7 at the Sandusky, Ohio theme park. It's the worlds largest, fastest and tallest drop coaster and is the 100th roller coaster designed by Monthey, Switzerland based Bolliger & Mabillard.
