Warren Missing Woman Case Investigated As Possible Murder

WARREN (WWJ) - Police say they're investigating the disappearance of a 51-year-old Warren woman as a possible homicide while her husband waits behind bars.

Kimberly Ann Dejohn was reported missing on Wednesday, May 28, by her sister who said she hadn't seen her since the morning of May 14.

Warren police searched her home on the 21000 block of Sherwood Ave., near 8 Mile Road, twice and found evidence of domestic violence.

"We interviewed the husband. He admitted to altercation with his wife on the fourteenth," Police Commissioner Jere Green told WWJ's Zahra Huber.

"The evidence that we have suggests that there was foul play in the home; and at this point it's being investigated as a possible homicide...We continue to collect evidence and do interviews," Green added, declining to provide further details about exactly what evidence was found.

The husband was arraigned on domestic violence charges and is being held on a $750,000 cash bond.

Green said investigators they will serve a third search warrant on Thursday at another Michigan location in hopes of finding more evidence in the case.

Dejohn is described as a white female; 5 feet, 5 inches tall and around 165 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and multiple tattoos.  It's unknown what she was wearing at the time she went missing.

Anyone who has seen Dejohn or who has any information about this case is asked to call Warren police at 586-574-4790 or 586-574-4877.
