US-23 To Be Closed For Hours After Semi Rolls Over, Spills Milk Across Road
FENTON (WWJ) - Authorities say US-23 is going to be closed for quite some time near Fenton after a semi-truck carrying milk overturned on the freeway.
The accident happened just before 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on northbound US-23 at Silver Lake Road.
Authorities say it appears the truck driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the median, causing the truck to roll over. It was snowing at the time of the accident, but police aren't sure if that's what led to the crash. No other vehicles were involved, and no one was injured.
Officials say it is going to take hours to clean up crash scene, which includes spilled milk and oil. Until then, the northbound lanes of US-23 remain closed.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
