Troy Teen Arrested In Rochester Hills Home Invasion

TROY (WWJ) - A Troy teen is behind bars, accused of breaking into a home in Rochester Hills.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a home in the 300-block of Longview Ave., near M-59 and Dequindre, Sunday morning.

The 44-year-old homeowner told police that the teen pounded on the front door, then broke in through a window, sheriff's officials said.

When the man yelled out to the intruder —  who was by then inside the house— the young suspect left through that same window and was arrested a short time later in a nearby yard.

Nothing was stolen from the home and no one was hurt.

The suspect, a 17-year-old boy, remains lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending formal charges. His name was not released due to his age.
