Trio Wanted In Two Gas Station Armed Robberies
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are on the hunt for a group of armed men who might be responsible for robbing two gas stations in Detroit.
The first incident happened early Wednesday morning at a Mobil gas station on Rosa Parks Boulevard near Bagley Avenue, just south of Michigan Avenue.
The second incident happened shortly thereafter, around 5 a.m., at a Marathon gas station on Fenkell Street between the Southfield Freeway and Greenfield Road.
In both cases, a group of three men wielding guns held up clerks and demanded cash. It wasn't immediately clear how much the crooks made off with.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators are working on a description of the suspects, but believe the same group is responsible for both crimes.
Police are looking to speak with anyone who might have seen the robberies.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 313-267-4600 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
