The 2015 version of the Tigers has a lot of question marks attached to it.
Will they win the Central? Will the starting rotation be any good? Will closer Joe Nathan make it through the month? As many sure things as this team has, there is just as many mysteries that make fans very nervous.
The loss of Max Scherzer, Phil Coke and even Don Kelly made big news in Detroit while Torii Hunter's departure might have flown a bit under the radar. Hunter is back in Detroit for Opening Day as a member of the Minnesota Twins, the place where he started his MLB career.
The baseball veteran contemplated retirement after last season but figured he had a lot more to give the game so he signed a one-year deal with the Twins. Of course we don't care about his new team, we only care about things Tigers related, something that Hunter obviously knows a lot about.
Hunter spent two seasons in Detroit, and with all that time sitting and talking to Miguel Cabrera, you would think he would know the superstar's weaknesses?
"There is no weakness of Cabrera," Hunter said, laughing. "I've been asked that several times. What do you see in Cabrera? Good Luck!" Hunter's best advice to his new teams pitchers facing Cabrera was simple..."just don't pitch to him!"
