Torching Bees Leads To Blazing Home
BRANDON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - An Oakland County man got a little more than he bargained for when he tried to rid his home of a nest of bees.
Bees had built a nest on the roof of the Brandon Township man's house. So he got a ladder, and a blow torch, to try and chase the bees away reports WWJ's Sandra McNeill.
Unfortunately, the torch ignited the insulation of the house Huff Lake Court near M-15, north of Clarkston.
The fire caused extensive damage to the back of the house.
Thankfully there are no injuries.
The state of the bees nest is not yet clear.
