Rookie hazing. Could we ever do without it?

It takes various forms in different sports. In baseball, it often results in rookies dressing up like trick-or-treaters for their team's final road trip of the season.

Yesterday, the Tigers honored this tradition. Before they left Comerica Park en route to Atlanta, JaCoby Jones posted this hilarious photo on Instagram:

We've done our best to identify each player through his respective disguise. From left to right: Dixon Machado, Michael Fulmer, Joe Mantiply, Shane Greene, JaCoby Jones, Matt Boyd, John Hicks and...Aladdin?

For what it's worth, even Jones' mother had a hard time identifying her son. In the comment section, mary_jones_23 wrote, "Hahahaha I had to take a double take to see if that was you."

Greene is an interesting inclusion. The man in the white headband could be someone else, of course, but it sure looks like the 27-year-old reliever. Greene's rookie season came in 2014 with the Yankees. So what gives?

Did Greene lose a bet? Is he paying his dues after missing last season's final road trip? Is he simply a big fan of polkadots and paisley? It remains a mystery.

The same goes for Aladdin.

Last year's rookie dress-up featured a cowboys and indians theme and the year before that was all about lingerie football players.

For those wondering, a player retains his rookie status unless he has exceeded 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched in the Major Leagues OR accumulated more than 45 days on the 25-man roster of a Major League club.

By the way: count Jones as the latest Tiger to embrace the #SecondDeck phenomenon.
