Anytime you type something into a Google search engine you will notice an instant drop down of suggestions. Sometimes they make sense, other times it seems like Google doesn't really know you at all.
But all that information is being tracked. Mostly, it's to help advertisers know your habits so they can deliver ads you might like. Partly, it's to help people make lists like this.
The website estately.com compiled the top google questions among states:
Using Google Autocomplete we compiled hundreds of the most common questions Americans type into the Google search bar. We ran those searches through Google Trends to determine which state queried each of these selected searches the most over the past 12 years.
To be clear, the list below does not represent what each state Googles the most, it simply shows the searches each state Googles more frequently than the other 49 states and the District of Columbia.
The questions searched in Michigan might shock you a little bit.
Is Trump presidential? / What's the weather today? / Who is Ron Paul / What causes depression / Where is Canada? / How much caffeine is too much? / Who is Muhammad? / When is Lent? / Is Mr. T dead? / How to be a good girlfriend?
I take a few things out of these searches. Why would Mr. T be dead? Did I miss something? I want to meet the people who live in Michigan who are searching "where is Canada." The last thing I took out of this is how many lousy girlfriends are there in Michigan to have 'How to be a good girlfriend' a question people are looking up.
