Thanksgiving And Black Friday Store Hours In Metro Detroit
DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - While some metro Detroiters are dozing off after Thanksgiving dinner this Thursday, others will be headed out to shop til they drop.
Some stores have scorned the idea of opening on the holiday — holding their doorbuster deals until Black Friday ("the biggest shopping day of the year") — but others are all. We have the rundown.
STORES OPEN ON THANKSGIVING
Best Buy opens on 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving, closes Black Friday at 1 a.m., reopens at 8 a.m.
Target opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and stays open all night into Black Friday.
Walmart is open 24 hours, but deals start at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving
Toys R Us opens at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving and stays open all night into Black Friday
Kohl's opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and stays open all night into Black Friday
Kmart opens on Thanksgiving at 6 a.m. and remain open til 10 p.m. Black Friday
Art Van Furniture is open 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thanksgiving and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Black Friday
Lord and Taylor (Lakeside Mall) open from 6 a.m until midnight Thursday, and 5 a.m. Friday until 2 a.m Saturday
Sears opens at 6 p.m on Thanksgiving, closes at 2 a.m. Black Friday and reopens at 5 a.m.
Macy's opens at 6 p.m on Thanksgiving and stays open all night into Black Friday
Meijer is open 24 hours, but deals start at 6 a.m. both Thanksgiving and Friday
JCPenney (most stores, including Lakeside Mall, Oakland Mall, Fairlane Towne Center and 12 Oaks Mall) opens at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving and doesn't close until 10 p.m. on Black Friday
Michael's opens at 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving, closes at 2 a.m. on Black Friday and reopens at 7 a.m.
Bass Pro Shops in Auburn Hills is open 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. Black Friday
Dick's Sporting Goods opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving, closes 2 a.m. Black Friday and reopens at 5 a.m.
