Swanigan Tops List Of High-Scoring Indiana All-Stars

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Fort Wayne Homestead's Caleb Swanigan is one of eight players averaging more than 20 points to make this year's IndyStar Indiana All-Star team.

Swanigan was named the state's Mr. Basketball after averaging 22.6 points. He's committed to Michigan State.

The rest of the team announced Monday includes 30-point per game scorers Harris Brown of Indianapolis Howe and Ryan Welage of Greensburg. Carmel's Ryan Cline, Mishawaka Marian's Devin Cannady, Evansville Reitz's Jaelan Sanford and Michigan City Marquette's Ryan Fazekas also made the team.

Columbus North's Josh Speidel, who was seriously injured in a February car crash, also made the squad.

The rest of the team is comprised of Richmond's Joel Okafor, Brownsburg's K.J. Walton, Pendleton Heights' Sean McDermott, Guerin Catholic's Matt Holba, Indianapolis Pike's Tahjai Teague and Zionsville's Derrik Smits.
