Suspect In North Las Vegas Homicide Found In Metro Detroit

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - A suspect in the shooting death of an 18-year-old man in North Las Vegas last month has been captured in Michigan.

North Las Vegas police said Friday that 35-year-old Tyrus Kemp was located in the Detroit area and is now awaiting extradition back to Nevada.

Investigators say Kemp is accused in the Jan. 28 shooting that left one man dead.

Officers found the victim Jan. 28 with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Kemp is facing one count of murder with a deadly weapon. He's currently awaiting extradition to return to Las Vegas.
